Reiki is a gentle Japanese practice in which a practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body to support relaxation and awareness. Ase is a Yoruba understanding of the life force or spiritual power that moves through all things. The class also introduces basic principles of Ifa, an African traditional spiritual system grounded in the study of nature, honoring our ancestors, cultivating character, and living in relationship.
Reiki Ase brings these ideas together. Traditional Usui Reiki practices and attunements are part of the training, while the Ase perspective invites you to notice how energy, intention, character, and lived experience connect. We also explore perspectives and practices including Taoism, Hoʻoponopono, chanting, prayer, meditation, shadow work, sound, symbols, crystals, and more. These invitations to reflect and practice can help you recognize and live as your true, authentic self while honoring your own beliefs.

The $1,400 early pay-in-full price saves $150 compared with registering for the levels separately and requires full payment at registration at least 60 days before Level One. The $1,450 combined price saves $100 and applies to later registration, including registration fewer than 45 days before Level One. A single-class balance is due 30 days before day one of that class. For both levels with a deposit, the full $950 balance is due 30 days before day one of Level One, even if Level Two takes place at a later immersion. If a balance deadline has passed when you register, the remaining amount is due at registration. Janine may approve another arrangement.
Level Two is by application and readiness. You may be asked to complete additional work, take Level Two at a later immersion, or both. This is a thoughtful decision about the pace and support that will give you the best education for you; it is never a punishment. If your Level Two date moves, the payment deadlines above still apply. Ask about the $350 orientation for practitioners trained in another lineage. Location details will be confirmed directly.

Three days together. A journey that begins months before we arrive.
The first Master Teacher retreat gathers in Galveston, Texas, in November 2026. This immersive three-day retreat includes overnight stays, guided exercises, deeper practice, and a Level Three attunement for practitioners growing into the Master Teacher path.
The retreat began in spring with a living journal process that unfolded through the summer. In Galveston, the cohort will bring those reflections into shared practice: developing a teaching voice, learning to guide others with care, and exploring how to build a business practice that honors boundaries and the people it serves.
It is time set apart to absorb the work, connect with the cohort, and step more fully into what comes next. Ask Janine about a future retreat.

Pleased to meet you!
I teach Reiki Ase through lived practice: learning the work, experiencing it in the body, reflecting on what changes, and bringing it into the way we serve others.
My work brings together education, energy practice, and years of experience helping people make room to slow down and reconnect. In class, I want you to understand what you are doing, practice with care, and find a way to carry it into your own life and work.
Reiki Ase welcomes people with different beliefs and backgrounds. You are invited to begin where you are.
